Testing

The Somerset County Emergency Services Training Academy is the host for several tests (EMT, Amateur Radio and Dispatcher).  Please read the requirements for each test.

Emergency Medical Technician
The New Jersey State Department of Health and Senior Services, Office of Emergency Medical Services, conducts NJ EMT-B examinations throughout the state, usually 1-2 per month.  The schedule can be found here

If you are a student of the Academy that needs to retest the EMT-B exam or you are an expired NJ EMT student that completed the EMT-B Core Refresher and needs to take the EMT-B exam, you must call the Academy office at (908) 725-5070 to have the proper paperwork filled out.  NJ DH&SS OEMS requires that the paperwork be in their offices at least two weeks ahead of the desired date.

Students taking the State exam will need to bring two forms of identification (one being a photo ID), a valid CPR card, course completion certificate and two #2 pencils.
