This program covers the revised May 1994 DOT curriculum (EMT-B). Emergency care of the sick and injured was inadequate in many areas of the United States until public attention brought needed reforms that were begun in the 1970's. These reforms resulted in the development of effective EMS systems staffed by well-trained Emergency Medical Technicians.
