At the conclusion of this course, students will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the role of Level II trained responders in dealing with a Chemical, Biologic, Radiological, Nuclear, or Explosive (CBRNE) agent attacks. The purpose of this course is to train you to the Domestic Preparedness Operations Level. These classes are designed to increase the depth of knowledge of responders confronted with the challenges created when a terrorist incident involves the employment of Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear or Explosive (CBRNE attack. Identify the correct operations level defensive actions to be taken in the event of a terrorist deploying a CBRNE agent. Identify appropriate personal protective equipment. Select appropriate detection and identification equipment that might be employed in response to deployment of a CBRNE agent. Understand emergency decontamination procedures that can be employed at the Operations Level.
