The course is designed for the novice pump operator. The course will instruct the student in the fundamentals of the fire ground operation and the duties of a pump operator. Content includes: Apparatus maintenance, emergencies on the fire ground, in-line pumping, developing hand lines and master streams, relay operations, drafting, hydrant operations, small and large diameter hose. Hydraulics will also be discussed.
